He had you in mind

As the creation story unfolds in the book of Genesis we notice that God creates the animal kingdom to inhabit the Earth He had made a few days earlier.

The animals are created in pairs at the same time. Incidentally, for evolution to be credible, both male and female of each species would have had to evolve at the same time and pace in order for the species to propagate. If we think about that, it takes a stretch of faith to imagine that happening for all of the species.

Getting back to the creation account we find that each animal including man has a counterpart enabling them to carry on life.

As we study the details of this plan we soon notice that there was one who didn’t have a counterpart and that was God himself. Was He so busy during the six days of creation that He forgot about Himself? Upon further inspection we learn that He had a much more extensive plan.

God’s magnificent plan was that the Church was to be His counterpart. The Church is referred to as the Bride of Christ in Scripture.

We see His love for His bride displayed to its fullest extent on Calvary’s Cross where He suffered and died for His bride so she will not have to suffer the punishment for Her sins.

He has promised that He will never leave or forsake His Bride.

The marriage union of the man who was created in His own image, and his wife, is patterned after the relationship of Christ and His bride. Our marriages are to be a picture of the creator’s marriage.

As we look at the relationship that God has designed for a man and his wife we can understand how God looks at the ungodly sham that man has made of the relationship of marriage.

The sins of homosexuality, adultery, and fornication, are a direct, blatant, rebellious, defiant, and deliberate attack against the Creator God and his plan for men and women and their relationship to each other.

Our progressive culture has tried to sanitize the sins of homosexuality, adultery, and fornication. We call homosexuals gay. Sounds like a fun lifestyle doesn’t it?

Adulterers and fornicators have affairs, or they are living together. Sounds like innocent liaisons don’t they? Most of them are strictly plutonic of course.

The fact remains that they are blatant attempts to show God what they think of His seemingly narrow minded rules.

The fact also remains that God hates sin, it’s the primary reason that He suffered and died, and man’s feeble attempts to satisfy his fleshly lusts are just that, SIN. He must deal harshly with those who refuse to repent of their rebellion.

Listen people, we are eternal creatures. We are told in the book of Jeremiah that He knew us even before we were in our mother’s womb. We existed in God’s mind even before the earth was created and we will exist for eternity after our bodies die.

His plan, even including His rules for living have always had our best interests in mind irregardless of what we may believe.

Let the Words of the Bible exhort you with these final words.

“Mark well that God doesn’t miss a move you make, he’s aware of every step you take. The shadow of your sin will overtake you; you’ll find yourself stumbling all over yourself in the dark. Death is the reward of an undisciplined life; your foolish decisions trap you in a dead end.” Proverbs :21-23 (The Message Bible)

If you find that the shadow of your sin is overtaking you, remember these words from Jeremiah 29:11-13

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Repentance means to turn from sin and follow his plan.

People, His ways are always best.
